ACADEMIC BACKGROUND:

• MS or PhD; ME, EE, Electrochemistry

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 7 years experience in Lithium Ion battery development is required.

• A track record of excellence:
  • Developing state of the art battery products.
  • Battery fabrication and testing is a plus.

• Experience with high performance cells.

• Strong interpersonal and project leadership skills.

• A high level of drive and flexibility to work in a rapidly developing entrepreneurial environment.

• Resourceful problem solver with excellent interaction skills, capable of rapidly achieving R&D results and integrating them into a practical power supply design and manufacturing process.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

GENERAL:

• The Battery Engineer will be a technical leader in an aggressive product development effort to develop and commercialize next generation portable power supplies.

• As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Battery Engineer will have broad responsibility for the development of a novel manufacturing technology.

SPECIFIC:

• Development of next generation power supplies and packaging.

• Optimize product design and construction to achieve and sustain world leadership performance levels.

• Technology transfer to support manufacturing technology development and process scale-up.
