• MS minimum, PhD desired; Material Science

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 5 years experience in a product development environment is required.

• Demonstrated expertise in ceramics and/or polymer processing is required.

• Broad based knowledge of vapor and solution coating technologies is a strong plus.

• High level of drive and flexibility to work in a rapidly developing entrepreneurial environment.

• Resourceful problem solver with excellent interaction skills, and capable of rapidly integrating R&D results into a practical manufacturing process.

• Strong interpersonal and technical leadership skills are also needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

GENERAL:

• The Materials Engineer will be a technical leader in an aggressive technology development effort to develop and commercialize next generation portable power supplies.

• As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Materials Engineer will have broad responsibility for the development of a novel materials manufacturing technology.

SPECIFIC:

• Product development for an advanced portable power supply.

• Process selection and development to provide a technical foundation for low-cost manufacturing.

• Technology transfer to support manufacturing technology development and process scale-up.
