ACADEMIC BACKGROUND:
- BS or MS Electrical Engineering
EXPERIENCE:
Required
- 1+ years industrial experience in product development and / or test equipment operation.
- Basic knowledge of firmware and software.
- Experience completing technical documentation for engineering.
- Willingness to work in electronic lab / hands on 80% of the time.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire.
Desired
- Experience troubleshooting computer hardware and software.
- CT system operation experience.
- Excellent problem solving, analytical and logical thinking skills.
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a strong cross-functional environment.
- Ability to make decisions with limited data, persuasive communications skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Six-Sigma Green Belt certified.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This is an Electrical Engineering position for X-ray Tubes Americas Engineering.
- Primary responsibilities are to integrate the X-ray Tube electrical design with the High Voltage generator and CT or Vascular systems.
- Lead and execute Product Life Tests, Product Stress Tests and Image Quality Tests to prove new technology on X-ray Tubes.
Other Responsibilities Include:
- Identify, select, maintain, and upgrade product life test equipment, product stress test equipment and image quality test equipment (including hardware and software).
- Train engineers, technicians and interns in the setup, monitoring and equipment associated to do Product Life Tests, Product Stress Tests and Image Quality Tests.
- Evaluate engineering test plan requests and determine the best method / approach to achieve results.
- Coordinate resources and equipment needed to run an engineering test.
- Proactively resolve and / or escalate issues across functions regarding issues found during Product Life Tests, Product Stress Tests and Image Quality Tests.
